An ideal base malt for wheat style beers; Red Wheat Malt has harder, smaller grain kernels than White Wheat Malt. Compared to White Wheat it has a more robust flavor and darker color. May also be used in small amounts (2-4%)to increase head retention in your beer. May be used for up to 30% of a grain bill without additions or up to 5% with adjunct additions of rice hulls to ease lautering and prevent a stuck mash.
